The Department of AI Convergence is researching the field of advanced AI-ICT convergence by opening the Department of Intelligent Systems (Intelligent Systems) of the General Graduate School as a graduate program.

Educational Objectives

As various intelligence systems based on artificial intelligence technology become concrete, we aim to "cultivate AI technology convergence experts" that create new values in the era of the 4th industrial revolution through interdisciplinary convergence centered on AI such as hardware and software platforms, artificial intelligence, and big data cloud computing technologies required by intelligence systems.

  • Master in Engineering
  • Ph.D in Engineering

Graduation Requirements

  • Master's course: 4 semesters or more registered, 24 credits (8 subjects), comprehensive examination, master's degree thesis
  • Ph.D. courses: 4 semesters or more, 36 credits (12 subjects), comprehensive examination, doctoral dissertation.
  • Integrated master's and doctoral courses: 8 semesters or more (shortened within one year), 60 credits (20 subjects), comprehensive examination, doctoral dissertation.

Scholarship System

  • Excellent scholarship for admission to master's courses: Half of tuition fees (the entire master's course period)
  • General scholarship: KRW 500,000 to KRW 3 million
  • Special Scholarship for Ph.D. program academic commitment: full amount of tuition fees
  • Special scholarship related to industry-academia: Half of tuition fees
  • Senior Civil Service Scholarship: Half of tuition fees
  • Soongsil Family Scholarship: 30% of tuition fees
  • Scholarship for teaching assistants: Differential payment according to working hours of educational assistants
  • RA Scholarship: 45% of tuition fees
  • Research incentive scholarship: 100,000 won per thesis
